Lucknow, October 3: Yogi Adityanath’s government in Uttar Pradesh is considering a proposal to drop tuition fees for one of the two sisters, if they are studying at the same private school or college.
“We should consider this for girls’ education. If two real sisters are studying at the same private school or college, then these institutions should consider waiving the tuition fee of one of them. At the government level, we should discuss and ask these institutions for exemption from the fees of a sister. If they (the private institutions) do not want it, then the department has to work at the government level so that the state government pays the tuition (of a sister) to these institutions, ”the chief said. from Uttar Pradesh. the minister said at a reception in Lucknow on Saturday. Uttar Pradesh is making 10-year service compulsory for PG medical students in public hospitals, in order to impose a fine of 1 crore rupee on violators.
It would boost girls’ education and encourage parents to send their daughters to school, Yogi Adityanath added. A senior state government official said modalities in this regard are being worked out and steps will be taken to ensure that private educational institutions follow the decision as well.
