Phoenix Suns waive Abdel Nader, release Justin Jackson

The Phoenix Suns had a busy day at the NBA trade deadline on Thursday.

The team announced the acquisitions of forward Torrey Craig and guard Aaron Holiday Thursday night.

And in corresponding moves, the Suns also waived forward Abdel Nader released forward Justin Jackson.

Nader, 28, last played Nov. 19 and has been out of action since Dec. 10 with a right knee injury.

In 14 appearances for Phoenix this season, the forward averaged 2.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 10.4 minutes played per game.

Jackson, 26, signed two 10-day contracts with the Suns this season.

The first arrived on January 4 and the second on February 1.

The forward has made seven appearances for the Suns this season, averaging 2.1 points and rebounding in 5.2 minutes per game.

Phoenix hosts the Milwaukee Bucks in an NBA Finals rematch Thursday night at 8 p.m.
