ATLANTA – A summer time tradition returns for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic: Public swimming pools in the city of Atlanta will reopen for Memorial Day.

The city’s 12 swimming pools will reopen on Saturday, May 29, and for the very first time, all admission fees will be waived.

“After such a difficult year for communities in Atlanta, we are grateful that we can now provide free access to the city’s swimming pools,” said Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. “We ask everyone to use our leisure facilities in a safe and responsible manner.”
