TO ANALYSE: The Oklahoma City Thunder have been forced into many less-than-ideal situations in 2021-22, and while this has mostly resulted in devastating losses, it has allowed players like Aaron Wiggins to make a bit of a name for themselves on the NBA scene sooner than they otherwise would have. Minnesota’s rookie and former Golden Gopher had flash chances here and there, but it really started to pick up on December 26, and since that time Wiggins has emerged for 15.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 interceptions per game.
While Wiggins’ three-point shooting efficiency has technically declined every month and so far in the limited January sample he has recorded his worst live-fire percentage of the year he ended up shooting. nine for 25 of three in games since Dec. 26 (36%) and has gone five for 14 (35.7%) in the last four games (which included a 0-5 game). Aaron Wiggins started playing around 26-38.5 minutes a night out of necessity for OKC, and his well-rounded contributions more than earned him an extended chance to speak for the long-distance Thunder, so given his great availability. it is an interesting addition in deeper formats.
